I don't often eat vegetarian, & especially so when it comes to sandwiches but I tried the Charlie (smoked beet melt). I was initially intrigued bc I thought it said smoked beef melt but upon the servers recommendation I went with it and was pleasantly surprised. It's still a bit of beet flavor of course but the slabs are savory & smoky & the right thickness and the warm cheese & sauce make it taste almost meaty. Def the best vegetarian sandwich I've had. They also got some beers to go in cans or you can drink them there. The vibe reminds me of a dive pizza joint, random stickers galore. The sammie was $16 which seems standard today but it was quite huge, I was easily filled w/ half.

This place is my type of vibe and interest(s). I had the Reuben... fantastic! You enjoy punk rock, rock, stickers, coffee, etc. This is the place! Be ready for up-pace music

It's been awhile since I've had a seriously great sandwich. This exceeded our expectations. The bread was toasted and delicious. From the lettuce to the meat, everything was thinly cut on the Italian Grinder. The cheese was amazing. We will be back! Service was great, too.

Absolutely loved this spot. The vibes, the team was so nice, and the food hit the spot. I ordered a vegetarian grinder which is made with roasted cabbage. I'm not a vegetarian but tend to lean towards vegetarian options because Portland has so many good ones! Highly recommend pairing with an Italian soda

This is probably one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. My husband ordered the Manny Ramirez chicken salad grinder for lunch and I shared with him through eating several bites. The combination of flavors and textures through each bite was so pleasing! This sandwich doesn't short you on your share of vegetables and the chicken ratio is 100%! The bread is that crunchy chewy French roll and it is an integral part of this sandwich! The ambiance here is so fun to walk in an order at as well as to sit down and have a quick bite. There is a good amount of seating and staff if friendly and helpful. I wish we had one of these on the east coast!

I'd never been here before. Grabbed a menu at the front and ordered. Friendly staff. I got an americano and spinach egg sandwich in a bolo roll to go. They serve brekkie all day - yay! Americano was great & they put a little cinnamon in there for me as requested. The spinach egg bolo was juicy and tasty. Right amount of spinach. The bolo has a nice texture and sweetness. I'll definitely be back to try more sandwichs. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is very sticker heavy Portland art with some seating nooks. Outdoors has some simple seating and small tables. Cute spot.

I absolutely love sandwiches. And Lottie & Zula's is my absolute favorite place to grab one. The space is super cool and funky with awesome/chaotic art collabs all over the walls - which is the perfect backdrop for their eclectic mix of sandwiches. Every sandy on the menu feels like it's been created with love and maximized for flavor. I've had the Reuben and the Steak so far and can't decide which one is my favorite. The bread is fresh to death and they don't overload any ingredient - striking the perfect balance. They've got Pfriem on tap, plus potato salad, pasta salad and tons of flavors of chips. L&Z's is a must for sandwich lovers.

With sooo many great spots, the sandwich scene in PDX is tough. Yet, we recently stumbled another gem and it might just trumped all the other amazing spots we've been. Introducing, Lottie & Zula's. Leave your doom and gloom at the door because Lottie & Zula's is here to bring the fun to your next sandwich. First off, their entire interior is decorated with vibrant and funky stickers of all shapes and sizes! We're so entertained that we almost forgot how hungry we were. Their menu is stacked with delicious-sounding sandwich creations. From classics to crazy. We got a Mortadella Melt and the special Kitchen Sink Grinder to split and boy did we need to split them. These chonkers were big and stuffed with cheesy goodness, well-prepared meats, and a concoction of condiments of your dream. Seriously, the first bite into the Mortadella Melt and this spot became our number one sandwich place. The sourdough was toasted perfectly and every bite was just so dreamy with sweetness from the caramelized onions that paired so well with the fried mortadella and sauces. An out of body experience right here. The Kitchen Grinder was also very tasty. The roll was lightly toasted adding a nice crunch to the crust. Again, it's full of all sort of meat and gooey cheese, refreshed by the shredded cabbage and pickles. Still a solid sandwich but didn't quite blow us away as much as the melt. We love love love everything about this place. From the energy to the food to the people. We're ready to come back the moment we stepped out of the place. Can't recommend them enough!
